Terms and Conditions

Please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully before placing an order with The Budding Cupcake Studio. By purchasing a cake, cupcake, or cupcake bouquet, you are agreeing to the terms outlined below.

Business Overview

The Budding Cupcake Studio is currently a part-time, home-based business operating in L13 4BW to Merseyside and surrounding areas. All products are made to order with availability subject to demand.

Orders & Payments

All prices are non-negotiable and are based on the design and size of your order.
Payment in full is required at the time of ordering for orders under £150.
For orders over £150, a non-refundable £100 retainer fee is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 28 days before the delivery or collection date.
For wedding orders, deposits and details will be agreed upon during a consultation. These deposits are non-refundable.
Orders are considered final once placed. Modifications are sometimes possible but must be made no later than 21 days before collection/delivery, and may incur an extra charge.
Customer design choices are selected through online forms/dropdowns. Final adjustments and design discretion remain with Botanical Bakes By Becky to ensure the best result.

Cancellations & Refunds

For orders under £150, full refunds are available if cancelled 28 days prior to collection.
For orders over £150, the £100 retainer is non-refundable, but the remaining balance will be refunded if cancelled more than 28 days in advance.
Refunds or replacements cannot be issued without the return of the product for inspection within 48 hours.
If you are unhappy with your order, please contact us immediately by email. We will always aim to resolve issues promptly.
We reserve the right to refuse unreasonable refund requests, particularly for perishable goods.

If we are unable to fulfil your order due to illness or circumstances beyond our control, a full refund will be issued, including any retainer fee.

Collection & Delivery

Orders are available for collection from L13 4BW at a mutually agreed time.
Failure to arrive at the agreed time may result in missed collection.
Orders not collected within 2 days of the agreed date may be disposed of at our discretion.
Bouquets of up to 37 cupcakes may be eligible for local delivery at an additional charge—please enquire at the time of ordering.
Dome Bouquets (61 or 91 cupcakes) are for delivery only. Delivery starts at £50 for venues within 10 miles and includes setup at the venue.
A £50 refundable stand/turntable deposit is required for Dome Bouquets (if applicable/required) and will be refunded upon safe return of the stand in original condition.

Accepting the product at the time of collection or delivery indicates you are satisfied with the order. We are not liable for any damage incurred after collection/delivery.

Allergens

Customers are responsible for declaring allergies at the time of ordering.
We offer dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, eggless cupcakes. These are prepared with care, first in the baking schedule, and using cleaned equipment.
However, as a home-based kitchen, we are not an allergen-free environment.
Any of the 14 notifiable allergens may be present in the kitchen, including:
celery, cereals (gluten), crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, sulphur dioxide/sulphites, and tree nuts.
The Budding Cupcake Studio holds a 5-star food hygiene rating and is trained in allergen awareness, following strict cleaning and handling protocols.

Colour & Design Disclaimer

Colours may vary slightly between batches due to the nature of edible products.
Buttercream may contain the following permitted colourings:
E110, E104, E122, E129, E102, and E124 – which may affect activity and attention in children.
Final design elements may differ slightly depending on size or complexity, and we reserve the right to adjust for optimal presentation.

Cake & Cupcake Care

Do not refrigerate cupcakes or cakes, as this affects flavour and texture.
Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat.
When transporting bouquets by car, place on a flat surface such as the boot or footwell. Avoid stacking or tilting.
Do not leave your order in a vehicle for prolonged periods.
Best enjoyed at room temperature and consumed within 3 days. As items are perishable, no refunds are available after this period.

Final Notes

We reserve the right to refuse any unreasonable or unsuitable refund or alteration request once an order is confirmed.
Any rescheduled collections or late pickups are at our sole discretion and cannot be guaranteed.
By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions in full.
